Our Teaching Strategy

The Flipped Classroom Model

What is a Flipped Classroom?

  • In flipped classrooms, students independently view videos, read notes and attempt pre-assessments at home.

  • During the independent study period, students make note of concepts they don’t understand and prepare questions for the teacher to answer.

  • The teacher then devises interactive activities that guides the student to receive answers to his or her questions during official class time.

  • This means, the teacher's focus is on the child's weak areas.

Benefits of the Flipped Classroom

  1. Empowers students to be independent learners and critical thinkers.

  2. Give students the opportunity to learn at their own pace by pausing or replaying videos until they understand the concept.

  3. Engages students in technology for the purpose of gaining useful knowledge.

  4. Allow both student and teacher to identify problem areas and to focus on solving them.

  5. Allows more time for the teacher and students to engage in one on one learning activities.

  6. Students grade improves.
